My sister did this last year and I thought I'd give it a shot. NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month. It comes around every year, in November. You're supposed to write a 50,000-word story in 30 days. Don't worry about editing or it being your greatest work ever. Quantity comes over quality for this. You can read more about it on the website. Just search 'NaNoWriMo' and it should be the first link.

My story idea for this is about three brothers (who are princes) and their trials as a war breaks out between countries. The war starts to tear their land apart, as well as the brothers' lives as their mother is killed in an attack. Their father, the king, is away fighting in the war, leaving his adviser in charge. The eldest prince, Kyar, is a soldier and wants to join his father in fighting, but is forbidden to do so. Kyar's younger brothers, Merrik and Thaddeus, try to keep him from running off to join the battle, being successful for a while. MORE TO COME AS THE STORY PROGRESSES.
